Plush Thug Monster!

These fascinating creatures from Plush Thug have a very interesting history that you might want to go and read up on. While you are doing that, I will be figuring out how to turn these creature's "desire to gain control over the Human race" into a desire to watch Top Chef and play Wii! You can thank me for Saving The World later...

Holly and Berry, Winter Bunnies!

Holly and Berry are snow bunnies that don't blend into the snow very well, so Softies By Rachel is working with North Pole Bunny Rescue to bring these sweet bunnies down south where they will be safe from predators. Won't you adopt one today?

Sweet Horned Monster!

Look at this wee lad I found at Little Felt Hearts! His name is Logan, and he may be small but he's got some pretty spectacular horns for his size! Don't be scared though, Little Felt Hearts describes him as "Quiet as a mouse and sweet as a lady bug." Once he gets comfortable, however, I've heard he likes to run around with Christmas ornaments on his horns and he will drink all the soynog...

The Turkey Leg Creatures from PlushOff are still celebrating! In fact, the turkey legs and their pie buddies have been keeping everyone up all week! The good folks at PlushOff must be exhausted! You might want to get over there and pick up your own pie and turkey leg party pals now, for the upcoming holiday festivities!

I will now use Winged Lion's cool prints to illustrate my goals for today. Number one: eat turkey, Number two: nap. Done and done!

Potential Thanksgiving Meal Creatures!

They look a little nervous don't they? I guess I would too. These Potential Thanksgiving Meal creatures from Curious Portraits wouldn't have to worry at my house, I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to cook any of them!

The First Thanksgiving!

I knew I had difficulty paying close attention in grade school, but except for my chronic inability to spell definitely (Thanks, spell check!), and complete lack of memorized multiplication tables, I thought I hadn't really missed much. Until today! Until I saw this (historically accurate) painting from Unusual Cards. Wow, was I misinformed! I can't believe I have been walking around all these years, unaware that there were dinosaurs at the First Thanksgiving! Boy, do I feel stupid now...

Thanksgiving Week Creature!

It's Thanksgiving week here, and I figured even if it isn't a Holiday week where you live, you might still enjoy these "Thanksgiving" creatures I have found. I'd like to start with my personal favorite, the Cold Turkey Leg Creature! Here he is in all his glory: Mr. Cold Turkey Leg from the Yee-Haw Industrial Letterpress Shop. If he doesn't put you in the mood for leftover turkey, you are a vegetarian! Oh, you are? Well, uh, then um, Oh! Think of him as Mr. Tofurky or Mr. Quorn! There we go! Now we're all on the same page, happily dreaming of a wonderful turkey-ish meal!

Plants & Animals Creatures!

Today I'm pleased to introduce you to Murdock, Fenway, and Dior, from Plants & Animals. Each creature has it's own unique personality, but they say Murdock is grumpy! So naturally I like him the best! Come here little Murdock, we can be grumpy together!

Jaffajam Creatures!

I do believe I've found some new buddies for my kitchen at jafajam! Three great things about them: They are 5x7, they are prints, and they are only eight dollars! Which means: we can ALL buy them ALL, and hang them in a super happy, morning cheering row, in ALL of our kitchens! Who's with me?!!

Snippet Fairy Beasties!

These delightful beasties are here to cheer you up and make you smile as we roll into "Official Holiday" depression, I mean SEASON! Season! Sorry, I always do that for some reason! My apologies!

So, as I was saying, even those who get the most ridiculously effected (me) by the cold and darkness at five-thirty would not be able to resist smiling with these little beasties from Snippet Fairy around! So go to Snippet Fairy today and buy them as early holiday presents for your own SAD club members! If they need more help after that, tell them there's room by my sunlight lamp if they want to come visit...

Crocheted Curiosities!

I am constantly amazed (and made jealous) by the creatures and patterns talented crochet artists come up with!
These particular creatures from Handmade By Angela are really starting to make me depressed about my own sorry lack of crochet skills. I have tried, but I just can't see how that squiggly worm I create could ever end up being something as cool as these guys! Luckily, since I can't make one, I can befriend one from Handmade By Angela, and maybe, just maybe, having one as a pal will transfer to me the skills necessary to make one myself! *fingers crossed*

Bunzilla, My True Love!

Have you ever been so in love that you can't eat or sleep? Me neither! On the other hand, I have been so in love that I've been blind to other guys, no matter how funny or good looking they were, and now I'm afraid, it's happening again! I must confess, I LOVE BUNZILLA from Skizzarah, and I can't take my eyes off of him!

Now, I know that Skizzarah has other wonderful creatures too, but I simply can not get past the mesmerizing presence of BUNZILLA! Sorry, I guess you will just have to check out the rest of Skizzarah's store on your own. I need to gaze into his lovely yellow eyes some more, and maybe write a sonnet or two...

Protection Creatures!

I have to admit I feel pretty safe at home. After all, I have a houseful of monsters, two big black Chow Chows and a black catmonster for protection (and entertainment). BUT, what if you don't have the space, or time, for a crew like that? What do you do? Well, once again, we here at ionlylikemonsters have the answer! A Glum Ninja from Plushplex's Glum Ninja Covert Protection Force (GNCPF)!

Here is a quote from their brochure:
"Glum Ninjas C.P.F. is a covert protection force for people who want inconspicuous protection. They disguise themselves as run-of-the-mill stuffed animals and keep a watchful eye, waiting to spring into action at the first sign of danger."

Plushplex is a full service protection firm, if you don't need Covert Ninjas, and would rather make it known that you are protected by the finest bodyguards money can buy, they also have non-disguised Glum Ninjas. AND, for those of you who already have a dedicated contingent keeping you safe, Plushplex also has a sweet little Hamster crew, perfect for just hanging out and watching Iron Chef America!

Contact Plushplex's dedicated representatives now, and let them design a package of products and services that are right for you!

Green Elevator Monsters!

As I have mentioned before, half the fun of searching for monsters is reading their descriptions. Today's magnificent monsters are no exception, but in case you didn't believe me, I'll let Green Elevator's description of their Long Horned Iffiet prove my point. And I quote:

"The long horned iffiet is one of the few lucky creatures to have magical powers. The longer the horns are, the more magical the iffiet is. This particular iffiet is about an 8 on a 1-10 scale of magical powers. She has the ability to turn anything into a large vanilla cupcake topped with pink whipped frosting and rainbow sparkle sprinkles. This is just as amazing as it sounds. However, these little creatures can go a bit overboard when there is so much magic stored in those horns of theirs. You might come home one day to find your entire apartment is filled with nothing but rainbow sprinkle cupcakes! I learned that lesson the hard way... "

See!! Informative AND entertaining!

Monsters Everywhere!

These altered postcards from Gammaraybots made me laugh so hard! I imagined the artist thinking "Hmmm... these postcards are cool, but it just seems like something is missing..." and then (being the genius that he clearly is) he quickly realized the missing element was MONSTERS, and added them in perfectly! So Brilliant!

Knotpile Monsters!

This contemplative creature from Knotpile came to live with me recently, and I love him so much, I thought I should quit being selfish and share him with you. Looking at him made me think about something I recently read. The idea was, that to be happier, you should spend your money on experiences instead of things. I tend to agree, but, I would have to add that some things are experiences. Like art (or a great pair of kick-ass boots!) I believe in buying art. I save for it and I go online and look at it whenever I feel myself getting sucked into the "machine." What can you do with thirty dollars? Bring yourself an ongoing experience of happiness, that's what! Every time I look at this little guy in his peaceful forest, he calms me down and makes me smile, and THAT, my friends, is money well spent!

Monster Friends! See them all in the older posts!
